Description
Neufchâtel is one of France's oldest cheeses, dating back to 1035. A classic Normandy cheese. Neufchatel was awarded an AOC status in 1969.
It is a soft white Cows milk cheese and comes in many shapes and sizes. This particular form is known as a Coeur de Neufchatel.
Expect a thick but spreadable indulgent interior, encased in a velvety white bloom rind. Often likened to camembert, it has a rich, nutty, and mushroomy flavour.
