Description
Celtic Promise is an artisan, raw cow's milk, washed-rind cheese from the Teifi Valley in West Wales, where Caws Teifi Cheese produces it on an organic family-run farm. It begins its life as a Caerphilly-style cheese. Still, it is then transformed by being washed twice weekly with cider over a period of seven weeks, which encourages the development of its distinctive, slightly moist, sticky, pink-to-orange rind and pungent barnyard aroma. The interior boasts a delicate, supple, and buttery texture with a rich, full flavour that offers a pleasant contrast to the piquant rind. Highly acclaimed, this cheese is excellent as a table cheese and is also well-suited for cooking when a strong flavour and creamy texture are desired.

Unpasteurised Cow's Milk, Salt, Starter Culture, Rennet, Cider (used for washing the rind), and may contain Egg (used in the rind washing solution).
